We visited the garment district and decided on a quick sidewalk lunch after finding a quesadilla truck.
A friendly woman brought out a tray of pre-made quesadillas which she put on a hot grill. As the meats cooked, she cut open the thick masa quesadilla shell and shoved in avocado, pico de gallo and cheese. We ate them on the sidewalk, trying to not drip juices all over our just bought fabrics.
They were tasty and gave us an idea for the next time we attempt tamales!
