end of summer

The weather indicates the arrival of fall and most of everything I grew this summer is now dead. My plans for next season’s garden includes taking better care of said garden and extending it into the ground. I grew everything in pots and planters – probably not the best way to keep a healthy garden. I’d like to grow more vegetables and roots. Especially beets.

With the upcoming festivities – Mia’s 1st birthday, Kim’s bridal shower, Mom’s birthday, Kim’s wedding.. I haven’t been thinking too much about food other than stuffing myself silly whenever possible. I have a feeling, once things return to a normal pace I will be back in the kitchen once again.

And.. definitely looking forward to documenting my Japan and Taiwan epicurean adventures!
