For Kim’s birthday, we went to the Boiling Crab. I had heard good things about the restaurant and lord knows we are a family of seafood lovers. Seemed like the perfect place to celebrate the two-eight with her.
We ordered a dungeness crab, pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish. We also ordered a bag of corn. Everything was doused in a buttery spicy garlicky broth that was so delicious. I knew I was going to be regretting all of the garlic I was consuming, but at the time, nothing mattered.
Lemon wedges strewn about the wax paper covered table. Bags of steaming seafood. Cobs of buttery corny goodness. Forget about your table manners. Just get to grubbin’.
Needless to say, the next day, I felt pretty nasty. My tongue still had lingering garlic taste and everything smelled like garlic. It took a two hour bike ride and a good sweat to get rid of all that vampire mace.
