After Debbie & Whit’s wedding, we headed to the Yacht Club for a dinner reception. The location was perfect. Sun setting behind the bay, sailboats leaning in the wind, pelicans flocking in the sky. I could get used to the seafaring lifestyle.
The dinner was buffet style starting with a few appetizers to whet the appetite. It was pretty darned hot so we were frequenting the bar for ice cold beverages. Everything was nice and it was good to catch up with friends we haven’t seen in so very long.
I ate a salmon skewer, spinach salad, cocktail shrimp, pita and hummus, cilantro rice, a bite of this awful olive tapenade with polenta, and some fruit off skewers.
After dinner, we were all surprised with a sunset cruise hosted by the newlyweds. I thought it was awesome and we all had a lot of fun. The ride was a bit bumpy so a couple of people got really seasick, but I had fun. The wind was insane but I managed to get a few good shots of the bay and the bridge.
